    芳菲四月，万物吐新;荆楚大地，一派春光。明天,我们将迎来中部六省人民的盛大节日——第三届中国中部投资贸易博览会的胜利召开。这将是一个开放的大会，一个承接国际资本和沿海发达地区产业转移的盛会。一个繁荣发展正在崛起的中部，将张开双臂热情欢迎来自海内外客商。“促进中部地区崛起，形成东中西互动、优势互补、互相促进、共同发展的新格局。”党中央、国务院对中部地区加快发展寄予厚望,促进中部地区崛起战略的实施,为中部地区赢来世界关注和青睐的眼光,催生出前所未有的发展机遇。三年多来,中部六省人民,意气风发,斗志昂扬,奋力拚搏,在以胡锦涛为总书记的党中央领导下,创造性地将中部地区的各项事业推向前进,一个开放、繁荣、和谐、富裕的中部正在融入世界发展大潮。
    中国中部投资贸易博览会作为国家对外开放战略的重要窗口,是加快中部地区开放、促进中部地区崛起的重要措施和平台,也是湖北扩大开放的重大机遇。为了办好第三届中博会，办出水平、办出特色、办出实效，作为承办省，湖北省委、省政府高度重视，大会筹委会做了大量艰苦细致的工作，目前所有准备工作全部就绪。作为中共湖北省委机关报和湖北省最具权威性的媒体，我们将秉承“责任造就公信力”的理念，做好大会的宣传报道和服务工作。为此，本报今天特推出中博会特刊——《中部崛起进行时》，奉献给大家。
